Furthering his Scandinavian journey, Gary has worked with the Danish String Quartet, most notably with the cellist Fredrik Sjölin. Further to this, Gary has toured Ireland with Kristyn Fontanella (choreographer) and her ‘In Limbo’ contemporary dance project. This consisted of improvisational solo cello, accompanied by modern Irish dancers. He worked closely with highly esteemed composer Neil Martin, and collaborated with many other talented Irish musicians throughout the tour.
Gary Hunt made his conducting debut with the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Sinfonietta, who he has taken the role of principle with. He has experience conducting a variety of ensembles from 2018, and has attended many rehearsals with the Ulster Orchestra, under the baton of Daniele Rustioni.
