Award winning cellist, Gary Hunt has been performing as a musician around the globe. Having played the cello since the age of 6, he has performed at some of the most prestigious concert halls in Europe with various UK orchestras and ensembles.
He is a successful classical and contemporary cellist, having played with names such as the Danish String Quartet and the Electric Light Orchestra.
A young and upcoming conductor, Gary learnt his craft whilst at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He is the principal conductor of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Sinfonietta and has given a variety of concerts.
As a conductor, Gary explores a variety of symphonic and operatic repertoire.
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Gary Hunt is a strong advocate for Irish music, in all shapes and forms.
He has studied under a plethora of influential musicians such as Jian Wang, Julian Lloyd Webber, Lionel Handy, Morten Zeuthen and Giordano Bellincampi, to name a few.
